Frequently Asked Questions

How do I sign up?

Click student, a teacher, administrator, or an individual purchasing Rhymes with Reason for yourself/your child---to designate which type of Rhymes with Reason account will fit you.

Student Sign Up:

A) If my school or teacher has purchased a Rhymes with Reason subscription, then they have a unique class ID and password for me that allows me to activate my account. I should click: "Yes: I have a class ID and password."

B) If my school has not purchased a Rhymes with Reason subscription and my parent (or I) wants to buy me a subscription, I should click: "No: I'd like to purchase an individual account to use myself."

Teacher Sign Up:

If my school administrator has purchased activation codes for me, then I should click: "Yes: I have activation codes." My next screen will ask me to enter my name, my email, and to create a new password. My account will be created and I should punch in the activation code(s) already purchased for me to activate my classroom(s).

If my school administrator has not purchased activation codes for me, then I should click: "No: I'd like to purchase classrooms myself." My next screen will ask me to enter my name, my email, to create a new password, to select how many classrooms to purchase and finally to enter in my credit card information to purchase my classroom(s).

If I'm a teacher how do I invite students to join my classroom?

See 'How To' on the left side of your teacher dashboard for video and graphics that illustrate the simple steps of inviting students to join your classroom!

If I’m an administrator how do I allow teachers to activate their accounts?

Upon purchase, a list of the purchased classrooms and corresponding activation codes will be emailed to the administrator. The administrator should email (copy/paste or disseminate a printout for the department) the individual codes to the teachers that they purchased them for.

Example: The English Department Head (example: Susan Rogers) at Cooley High purchases a subscription for all 24 classrooms (8 teachers x 3 periods each) that are in the department.

There are 8 total teachers (2 in 9th grade, 2 in 10th grade, 2 in 11th grade and 2 in 12th grade) and they all teach 3 periods of english.
